To maximize the value of its upstream gas projects and establish a flexible organizational structure capable of responding to market changes, INPEX will need to:
- (1)Increase annual domestic natural gas supply volume to over 3 billion m3 annually;
- (2)Develop gas demand in Asia and other growing markets; and
- (3)Maintain and strengthen supply and demand management and trading functions.
INPEX aims to become a key player in natural gas development and supply in the Asia & Oceania region during the period until 2040.

To proactively address climate change and meet long-term demand for renewable energy, INPEX will accelerate the development of its renewable energy business.
In addition to its geothermal power business, INPEX intends to expand its participation in wind power generation and other areas.
INPEX aims for renewable energy to account for 10% of its project portfolio in the long term.
At the same time, INPEX will lead R&D aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
Promoting CSR management and Building a Vibrant Corporate Culture
As a basis for achieving its three business targets (for the period until 2040), INPEX is implementing its CSR management having identified six key material issues in view of realizing sustainable energy development.
