Ⅰ.Basic Policy

INPEX CORPORATION (“Company”) positions the protection of personal information as an important matter in its business operation, and recognize its responsibility and exert efforts to protect personal information at all times. The Company protects personal information and responds to the society’s confidence by complying with laws and internal rules related to the protection of personal information and accurately and securely handling personal information.

Ⅱ.Handling

1. Purpose of use

  1. The Company uses personal information within the scope of the following purposes of use.

    1. (1)Personal information of customers and business partners (in the case of corporations, personal information of their officers and employees):
      1. (ⅰ)to contact customers and business partners, perform agreements and negotiate business deals required for conducting transactions and carrying out business;
      2. (ⅱ)to introduce or provide products or services to customers and business partners;
      3. (ⅲ)to develop products or improve services;
      4. (ⅳ)to respond to, confirm and record inquiries and consultations; and
      5. (ⅴ)to provide personal information to third parties upon obtaining the principal’s consent.
    2. (2)Personal information of shareholders:
      1. (ⅰ)to exercise rights and perform obligations of the Company under the Companies Act;
      2. (ⅱ)to extend various facilities from the Company to shareholders in their capacity as the Company’s shareholders;
      3. (ⅲ)to implement various measures for facilitating the relationship between shareholders and the Company; and
      4. (ⅳ)to manage shareholders such as by creating data of shareholders pursuant to prescribed standards under various laws and regulations.
    3. (3)Personal information of job applicants:
      1. (ⅰ)to screen job applicants (including internships) and contact job applicants in relation to their application, and to provide employment-related information to job applicants;
      2. (ⅱ)for use as reference material in the Company’s recruiting activities in the subsequent fiscal year onward; and
      3. (ⅲ)to consider matters related to implementation of pre-employment training of job applicants and post-employment HR management of job applicants.
    4. (4)Personal information of employees, etc. (including temporary workers):
      1. (ⅰ)to manage employment and personnel affairs, decide work placement and job duties, and implement work policies;
      2. (ⅱ)to decide and pay salaries, take tax withholding procedures, provide employee benefits, and take procedures related to social insurance;
      3. (ⅲ)to manage the health of employees, ensure a proper working environment, and take procedures for leave of absence such as child-care leave and family-care leave;
      4. (ⅳ)to take procedures related to labor required under laws;
      5. (ⅴ)to contact customers and business partners and negotiate business deals required for conducting transactions and carrying out business; and
      6. (ⅵ)to exchange information with and contact various member organizations.

    Otherwise, when requested by domestic or foreign public institutions such as regulatory authorities, judicial/administrative agencies or exchanges pursuant to laws and regulations, the Company may provide personal information to such public institutions.

2. Security control measures

  1. In addition to formulating and maintaining its Privacy Policy and Detailed Rules on Protection of Personal Information against risks such as illicit access to personal information as well as loss, damage, falsification and leakage of personal information, the Company is taking reasonable technical, physical and systematic security measures and preventive measures such as appointing a chief privacy officer, implementing employee training, taking theft/loss prevention measures of equipment used for handling personal information, and implementing access control. Furthermore, the Company is properly supervising outsourcing companies and employees handling personal information, and, when personal information is handled in a foreign country, the Company is taking proper security control measures upon comprehending the regulatory system, etc. related to the protection of personal information in such foreign country.

3. Joint use

  1. The Company may jointly use personal information in the following manner.

    1. (1)Scope of persons to jointly use personal information
      The Company, subsidiaries, affiliates, and subsidiaries of the Company’s affiliates described in the Company’s annual securities report, etc.
    2. (2)Items of personal information to be jointly used
      Name, address, phone number, information related to company or affiliation
    3. (3)Purpose of joint use of personal information

  1. 1.The Company complies with laws and other rules related to personal information.
  2. 2.The Company endeavors to review and improve, as appropriate, its management and operation system related to personal information.
