INPEX held its third open house for employees’ children on July 28 at its head office in Tokyo. 21 INPEX employees and 24 children of elementary school age participated in the event held during the summer vacation period of elementary schools.
The children enjoyed a video conference with INPEX Perth office staff members and actively asked questions about work and life in Australia. They also learnt about the company’s mission to provide a stable and efficient supply of energy by exploring and developing oil and natural gas. To conclude, children took a tour of the workplace and practiced the exchange of business cards.
Feedback from the children included statements such as, “I was able to learn about where liquefied natural gas can be found, and how important it is to our life,” and “I had the chance to see a different side of my father and the environment where he works.”
