INPEX launched its third Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) through its subsidiary in Australia in June 2015. The RAP reflects INPEX’s respect between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and other Australians through its business operations in Australia. The RAP maps specific ation plans based on the key themes of relationship, respect and opportunity, where the initiatives and their outcomes are reviewed and reported annually.
To date, more than 50 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander-owned businesses have been commissioned to support the Ichthys LNG Project through agreements worth more than AU$70 million. In addition, over 600 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples have been engaged in the construction of the project’s onshore facilities.
INPEX remains committed to embracing cultural diversity within its workforce and ensures personnel receive Aboriginal cultural awareness training.
