The INPEX Group, through its subsidiary, Japan Oil Development Co., Ltd. (JODCO), participated in Abu Dhabi International Hunting & Equestrian Exhibition (ADIHEX) held in Abu Dhabi, UAE from August 27 to 31, 2019.

JODCO has participated in this annual exhibition since 2004, introducing Japanese culture, for example, Japanese traditional falconry, with the aim of maintaining and enhancing the cordial relationship by building a bridge for culture exchange between the UAE and Japan. This year, in addition to falconry glove craftsmen, professions from a wide range of fields, including the tea ceremony, calligraphy, Taiko Drum (Japanese traditional drum)/Japanese musical instruments and painting, were invited to showcase various activities in Japanese culture. Moreover, our booth gained much popularity by offering round paper fans with Ukiyo-e painting, Matcha green tea and Japanese sweets and creating Japanese Culture Corners for people who visited the booth to experience Japanese culture, such as calligraphy and paper folding art. Many local dignitaries, including His Highness Sheikh Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance of the UAE, and Dr. Sultan, the CEO of ADNOC as well as Minister of State of the UAE, also visited our booth.

In order to maintain and develop the good relationship with Abu Dhabi in the future, The INPEX Group will actively take measures to promote not only oil development business but also social contribution activities such as culture exchange and technical support.
