INPEX recently donated about 3,700 cartographic articles including geological maps and documents to the Geological Survey of Japan, a subdivision of the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST) and the country's largest institution that gathers, compiles, and provides geological information for public welfare. The donated articles, which date from the 1900s to the 1940s, will be made available for academic research purposes.
INPEX will continue implementing social contribution activities including the succession of academically and culturally significant property for the benefit of future generations.
