INPEX hosted ten undergraduate geology majors and two supervisors from UAE University and Khalifa University in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on an annual vocational training program held in Japan this year from June 25 to July 13.
The curriculum for this year's program included lectures on petroleum geology, geological excursions to Niigata City in Niigata Prefecture, Miura Peninsula in Kanagawa Prefecture and Mount Fuji to study Japanese geological features and a visit to INPEX's Naoetsu LNG Terminal in Niigata Prefecture.
A total of 184 students have participated in this training program since 1993. The majority of these individuals currently work in the UAE's oil and gas industry, including at companies such as Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC).
