INPEX Participates in Youngsters’ Science Festival in Niigata, Japan

INPEX participated in the Niigata Prefecture edition of the Youngsters’ Science Festival held in Nagaoka City, Niigata Prefecture on February 17-18, 2018.

This annual festival held since 1999 aims to develop creative human resources by providing children with the opportunity to experience the "wonders of science" and "joy of making things" through experiments and craftwork sessions organized by high schools, universities and companies based in Niigata Prefecture.

INPEX has sponsored and exhibited a booth at this event held in Niigata Prefecture since 2004. This year, INPEX organized an exhibit on the Minami Nagaoka Gas Field as well as a short quiz on natural gas and crude oil based on the theme “How was natural gas made?” A total of about 300 people most of whom were children and their parents visited the INPEX booth over the two-day event where the company provided a good opportunity for the visitors to learn about the characteristics of natural gas and the nature of INPEX’s business operations.
