INPEX hosted ten students from the UAE University and the Petroleum Institute in the United Arab Emirates on an annual vocational training program held in Japan this year from July 2 to 22.

The curriculum for this year’s program included lectures on petroleum geology, geological excursions to Niigata City in Niigata Prefecture and Miura Peninsula in Kanagawa Prefecture to study Japanese geological features and a visit to INPEX’s Naoetsu LNG Terminal in Niigata Prefecture.

A total of 174 students have so far participated in this training program, which INPEX has hosted since 1993. The majority of the program’s past participants currently work in the UAE in fields related to oil development, at companies such as Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC).
