INPEX CORPORATION (INPEX) and the University of Tokyo’s Graduate School of Public Policy recently jointly hosted an international symposium entitled “The Impact of Lower Oil Price: Energy Industry’s Response Measures” co-hosted by the Institute of Energy Economics, Japan as part of INPEX’s endowed chair on Energy Security and the Environment at the University of Tokyo’s Graduate School of Public Policy established in 2010.

About 140 participants including energy industry professionals and students attended the symposium, which consisted of experts from outside of Japan giving keynote presentations on the current state of global investment in energy and Saudi Arabian affairs as well as a panel discussion on corporate strategies and challenges under the prevailing low oil price environment involving representatives of Japanese energy companies and industry personnel.
