INPEX Co-hosts Inaugural Judo Japanese Ambassador’s CUP in UAE

The INPEX Group co-hosted the inaugural Judo Japanese Ambassador’s Cup tournament in Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in partnership with the UAE Wrestling, Judo & Kick Boxing Federation and the Embassy of Japan in the UAE, among others, on November 11, 2016.

The tournament was organized with the aim of contributing to the development of Judo, which originates in Japan, as well as the education of future generations in the UAE. The tournament’s inaugural event was open to junior athletes aged 13-14 representing Judo clubs from all seven emirates in the UAE, and involved approximately 100 participants who competed before audiences that included H.E. Aref Hamad Al Awani, General Secretary of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council and H.E. Kanji Fujiki, Japanese Ambassador in the UAE.

A press conference on the tournament and the tournament itself were covered extensively by the local media, providing a good opportunity for the company to showcase its contributions to the local communities.
Going forward, INPEX will continue to value exchanges with the local communities in the UAE including through such cultural activities.
