The INPEX Group recently established and began delivering a new lecture course on Japanese language and culture at the Petroleum Institute (PI) in Abu Dhabi, the United Arab Emirates.

The course, which is supported by the Japan International Cooperation Center (JICE), consists of twice-weekly classes combining Japanese language lessons for beginners and lectures on Japanese culture open to total of 40 students. The course runs from August 2016 and is led by a course lecturer dispatched by JICE.

PI graduates work in fields related to the oil development business in the UAE, which enjoys close relations with INPEX Group. We hope that PI students may deepen their understanding of Japan through the course.
