INPEX held its fourth open house for employees’ children on August 2 at its head office in Tokyo. 23 children of elementary school age participated in the event held during the summer vacation period of elementary schools.

The children learned about the basics of the oil and natural gas industry as well as the company’s business and mission while touching fossils and oil samples on display. They also enjoyed a video conference with employees based at the INPEX Perth office who provided a lecture on the company’s projects. To conclude, the children took a tour of the workplace and practiced the exchange of business cards.

Feedback from the children included statements such as, “I have developed an interest in my parent’s work thanks to this workplace visit,” and “I had a great time learning about oil and natural gas.”
