The INPEX Group held a cultural exchange event on February 8, 2016 with the Petroleum Institute (PI) Japan Club and Japan-Gulf Cooperation Council Association of Students (J-GAS) in Abu Dhabi, the United Arab Emirates. The interactive event involved the participants introducing their respective operations and initiatives.

PI Japan Club was established in late 2015 by Emirati students at PI to study and celebrate Japanese culture.

J-GAS was established by Japanese students in 2008 to promote student exchanges between Japan and Arab States of the Gulf, and arranges for several Japanese students to visit Arab states every year.
