INPEX Supports UAE-Japan Friendship Committee on Female Career Development

INPEX Group supports female empowerment through the management of the UAE-Japan Friendship Committee on Female Career Development by participating as a member in the Planning and Implementation Committee (PIC).

The UAE-Japan Friendship Committee was established between Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) and Japan Cooperation Center, Petroleum (JCCP) with the patronage of H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, to address female empowerment, which is recognized as an important issue in both the UAE and Japan.

 

The first PIC was held on May 20, 2015 in Al-Ain, UAE. H.E. Dr. Maitha Salem Al Shamsi, Minister of State, Mr. Ali Khalifa Al Shamsi, Director of Strategy and Coordination, ADNOC and eight female representatives from the ADNOC group attended from the UAE, while Mr. Tsuyoshi Nakai, CEO, JCCP, and a total of 14 female managers and employees from Japanese companies, including two female representatives of INPEX, attended from Japan. The group participated in stimulating discussions on how to exchange information and interact between the two countires in order to advance female empowerment.
