INPEX Group organized a lecture course on remote sensing in the Petroleum Institute (PI) in Abu Dhabi of the United Arab Emirates. The course on remote sensing, a technology used in obtaining information on the earth’s surface from a distance, typically from aircraft or satellites, was established for the purpose of applying Japan’s latest remote sensing technology using satellite imagery to the development of Abu Dhabi’s oil industry. Since 2012, the course has been open also to graduate students.

INPEX Group supports the course since 2008, and for this year, it took place between December 21, 2014 and February 19, 2015. The course has consistently been evaluated highly and is considered to be an essential part of PI’s annual curriculum.
