Green Electricity Introduced for HQ Office Use

INPEX CORPORATION (INPEX) announced that it has switched the electricity used in the head office to green electricity derived from renewable energy sources.

The INPEX head office is located in "Akasaka Biz Tower" and is supplied with electricity by the landlord, Mitsui Fudosan Co. Ltd. This initiative is to substantially green the electricity consumption through the "Green Power Provision Service*" offered by Mitsui Fudosan to its tenants.

The introduction of green electricity is estimated to reduce CO2 emissions by approximately 400 tons per year.

INPEX will strive to enhance the corporate value of the entire group while fulfilling their social responsibility to contribute to the realization of a net zero carbon society.

*This is a service uniquely established by Mitsui Fudosan that provides electricity used in office buildings and other facilities as virtually renewable energy through the use of non-fossil certificates. For Akasaka Biz Tower, Mitsui Fudosan will collaborate with TEPCO Energy Partner, Inc. to provide power with environmental value (non-fossil certified) such as that derived from residential solar power generation for which the feed-in tariff power purchase periods have expired (post-FIT).
