INPEX, through its subsidiary INPEX Solutions, Ltd., presented a lecture on the energy industry entitled, "The mechanism of thermal and nuclear power generation" to second year students of Usune Junior High School in Numata City, Gunma Prefecture on September 13, 2022. The lecture was one of a series of presentations given by various external lecturers in September and October as part of a curriculum involving students presenting ideas on their "choice of energy" from the energy mix based on media and online research. The student presentations were conducted on October 25.

The INPEX Solutions lecturer joined the class teacher in educating students that the energy mix should be considered from various aspects such as energy security, stable supply, economics and the environment as well as waste emissions and human rights. Students were given the opportunity to consider their own ideal energy mix and realize the importance of energy issues. "I felt that energy issues are closely tied with global geopolitics such as the war in Ukraine," one student commented.

INPEX will continue implementing social contribution activities including education and empowerment initiatives.
