INPEX Interviewed by Junior High School Students

INPEX recently engaged in an education and empowerment initiative as part of its social contribution activities by accepting an interview by students of the Junior High School at Komaba, University of Tsukuba on May 19, 2022. The interview was conducted by a team of second-year junior high school students based on the research theme "How does INPEX provide a stable supply of energy?" as part of the school's comprehensive studies program.

The online interview included such topics as the perspectives of employees in fulfilling INPEX's mission of providing a stable energy supply and efforts toward the realization of a net zero carbon society in 2050.

Student feedback included comments such as, "I learned that energy development projects involve long time spans and require sound relationships with stakeholders. In addition, I found that stable energy supply cannot be achieved without constant effort," and "I discovered that INPEX is working to contribute to the realization of a net zero carbon society by 2050 through not only renewable energy initiatives, but also through making the oil and natural gas business cleaner*."

INPEX will continue implementing social contribution activities rooted in the communities in which it operates, including education and empowerment initiatives.
