INPEX Organizes Cross-industry Technical Training for Recruits

INPEX hosted 12 engineering recruits from five companies and organizations (JX Nippon Oil & Gas Exploration Corporation, Cosmo Energy Exploration & Production Co., Ltd., Idemitsu Kosan Co., Ltd., Tokyo Gas Co., Ltd. and Japan Oil, Gas and Metals National Corporation) who joined 16 engineering and geoscience recruits from INPEX for a technical training program held from May 10 to May 31, 2021.

As Japan's largest oil and gas E&P company, INPEX annually invites recruits of other Japanese energy companies to provide its technical training program as a voluntary initiative so that they can understand the oil and gas development value chain.

While the training program this year was held online as a countermeasure against the spread of COVID-19, it focused on improving the level of understanding through quizzes and on promoting inter-company networking and communications. The program received considerable praise from its participants.

Since June 2021, INPEX has conducted more specialized training focusing on specific technical disciplines.

INPEX will continue to actively engage in social contribution activities including the nurturing and development of the next generation of energy industry professionals.
