INPEX CORPORATION announced today that it has donated 822,550 yen each to the Keidanren Nature Conservation Fund and the Japanese Red Cross Society's Great East Japan Earthquake relief fund.
The donations are part of INPEX's corporate social responsibility initiatives and are based on a policy to donate five percent of the total monetary value of QUO cards presented to eligible shareholders as part of the shareholder benefit program announced in October 2019.
Under the policy, donations are directed to organizations contributing to society in support of a wide range of efforts including nature conservation and disaster relief. Accordingly, the Keidanren Nature Conservation Fund and the Japanese Red Cross Society's Great East Japan Earthquake relief fund were selected as recipients of the donations associated with the benefits issued to shareholders eligible as of December 31, 2020.
The shareholder benefit program has been introduced to express INPEX's gratitude for the continuous support of its shareholders and to enhance the appeal of INPEX shares with the aim of increasing the number of INPEX shareholders over the medium- to long-term. The shareholder benefits take the form of QUO cards featuring exclusive INPEX designs.
