INPEX, through its subsidiary INPEX Solutions, Ltd., gave a lecture on "Energy and the Development of Oil & Gas" to student members of a science club at Yotsuba Gakuen Secondary School in Isesaki City, Gunma Prefecture on October 26, 2020.

The students watched a short movie on INPEX's business operations and were shown an actual drilling bit and a subsurface core sample. Thereafter, the INPEX Solutions lecturer gave a slide presentation on oil and gas exploration and production, INPEX's trunk pipeline network and natural gas supply infrastructure, renewable energy initiatives and other topics.

The students later commented, "While energy is something we use every day without much thought, we were able to develop a good understanding of how energy is produced and how it plays a very important role in our daily lives."

INPEX will continue implementing social contribution activities including education and empowerment initiatives.
