INPEX CORPORATION (INPEX) publicized the latest version of its "Position Paper on Climate Change," which outlines the company's contributions toward the transition to a low-carbon society. The report was originally issued in December 2015. The latest version incorporates the company's major project developments until fiscal 2019, and includes the latest developments on the following initiatives:
1: Application of new methods for the economic evaluation of climate change-related risks
2: Advancement of two large-scale LNG projects
3: Provision of energy-saving solutions including gas co-generation systems
4: Promotion of wind power generation business
5: Participation in a sustainable CCS demonstration project

To proactively contribute to a low-carbon society based on the long-term targets outlined in the Paris Agreement, INPEX will continue its sustainable efforts to enhance its initiatives addressing climate change and disclose climate-related information in line with the recommendations of the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosure (TCFD).
