INPEX Signs Partnership Agreement for Kumon Method of Learning Mathematics in Elementary Schools in Abu Dhabi

The INPEX Group signed a partnership agreement with Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) and the Kumon Institute of Education (KIE) on November 13, 2018 to introduce the Kumon method of learning mathematics at ADNOC Schools in Abu Dhabi, the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The partnership aims to improve basic academic skills and the motivation of children to learn.

The UAE and Abu Dhabi are actively engaged in strengthening the education of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). The Kumon program will be launched targeting an estimated 500 first grade students at two ADNOC Schools from this academic year. The program is designed to augment regular mathematics classes, which will continue, and is expected to be rolled out at more schools and at other grade levels in due course.

Going forward, INPEX will continue contributing to the local communities in the UAE including through similar youth education and empowerment initiatives.
