INPEX CORPORATION (INPEX) hosted ten students from the UAE University and the Petroleum Institute in the United Arab Emirates on an annual vocational training program held in Japan this year from July 10 to 30.

The curriculum for this year’s program included lectures on oil development technology,  a geological excursion to Miura Peninsula in Kanagawa Prefecture to observe strata and rock formations and a visit to Naoetsu LNG Terminal in Niigata Prefecture.

A total of 164 students have so far participated in this training program, which INPEX has hosted since 1993. The majority of the program’s past participants currently work in fields related to the oil development business in the UAE, at companies such as Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC).
