INPEX CORPORATION (INPEX) announced it will sponsor "LA FOLLE JOURNÉE TOKYO 2024," one of the world's largest classical music festivals to be held from May 3-5, 2024, at the Tokyo International Forum in Tokyo, Japan.
LA FOLLE JOURNÉE was founded in 1995 in Nantes, a port city in western France. The festival has held editions in Japan since 2005. The theme for 2024 is "ORIGINES - It All Started Here." The program will focus on the history of music from the Middle Ages, Baroque, Renaissance and other traditional music to jazz, and will include a program that unravels the roots of each type of music, the origins of musical instruments, pioneering works that changed the course of musical history, and other "origins" of all kinds. The festival will be a special three-day event introducing all the "origins" of music.
The event is open to everyone from infants to classical music followers who can enjoy performances of the highest standard by Japanese and foreign musicians at affordable prices. The festival will also include a variety of free events and participatory events, and the entire city, including the Tokyo International Forum, will be filled with music to create a festive atmosphere.
