INPEX CORPORATION (INPEX) announced it will sponsor the 92nd Music Competition of Japan, which is scheduled to be held from August 23 until October 30, 2023, at Toppan Hall and Tokyo Opera City Concert Hall in Tokyo, Japan.

The Music Competition of Japan is known as one of the country's key platforms to launch a successful musical career and has been held more than 90 times since the first competition in 1932. The competition consists of 10 disciplines of which the piano, violin, composition and vocal contests are held annually, and the cello, French horn, clarinet, trumpet, flute and oboe contests are held triennially.

The final round of the competition will be held at the Tokyo Opera City Concert Hall in October 2023. The competition has propelled numerous promising musicians onto the world stage of music and contributed to the promotion of music culture around the world due to the large number of entries and high standard of performances.
