INPEX CORPORATION (INPEX) held its tenth annual open house for the children and families of employees on July 30 at its head office in Tokyo, Japan. 97 INPEX employees and children of elementary school age participated in this milestone event held during the summer vacation period of elementary schools.

The highlight of the event consisted of children learning about the company's business operations and its responsibilities to society through a live conference call with the Jakarta office and quizzes. The children also took a tour of the workplace and practiced the exchange of business cards. Other experiential attractions included a photo spot set up in a conference room allowing children to get a feel for the office environment; an artwork booth allowing children to illustrate cotton bags in the Oasis lounge; and a mystery-solving tour related to work. Children and their families also took part in a lunch event.

Feedback from the children included statements such as, "Employees were kind to me," "the mystery-solving tour about INPEX was fun" and "I was able to learn many things about mom's company."

INPEX will continue implementing social contribution activities including education and empowerment initiatives.
